Kapolri Jenderal Polisi Tito Karnavian menyatakan hal tersebut saat memberikan kuliah umum bertajuk Merawat Indonesia yang Damai dan Aman di Gedung Juang 45 pada Rabu, (12/4/)
Menurut Kapolri, kondisi kesenjangan ekonomi ini yang mendorong menguatnya kesadaran primordial, terutama pada masyarakat low class. “Diperparah low class dimanipulasi oleh pemegang kekuasaan,” ujar Tito.
Selain itu, dikotomi pribumi dan non-pribumi, islam non-islam, menurut Tito harus dihilangkan. Ini diperlukan untuk memacu pertumbuhan ekonomi yang sedang baik. Apabila tercapai, tidak hanya perbaikan ekonomi saja, tetapi juga mengurangi potensi perpecahan NKRI.
Tito memperingatkan untuk waspada pada era yang “damai”. Perang tidak lagi jadi ancaman perpecahan NKRI, tetapi ada beberapa faktor yang mengancam.
“Kalau ditanya apakah NKRI potensi pecah? Ya ada potensi pecah kalau menganggap remeh,” ujar Tito
Perpecahan itu bisa terjadi, akibat kesenjangan ekonomi di Indonesia. Hal ini tidak bisa diremehkan sebagai potensi perpecahan. “Pembangunan ekonomi belum merata ditandai struktur piramida ekonomi,” ujar Tito.
Struktur Indonesia berbentuk piramida. High class berjumlah sedikit, middle class yang tidak banyak, serta yang paling parah adalah low class yang sangat besar.(ab)
