SURABAYA (tandaseru.id) – Gubernur Jawa Timur Khofifah Indar Parawansa melepas pelayaran pengabdian masyarakat melalui Airlangga Community Development Hub (ACDH) Rumah Sakit Terapung (RST) Ksatria Airlangga di Muara Kalimas, di depan kantor Kesyahbandaran Utama Tanjung Perak Surabaya, Sabtu (14/5).
Misi tersebut berlangsung dari tanggal 14 Mei-10 Juli 2022 ini merupakan misi ke-63 dari RST Ksatria Airlangga. Dalam misi kali ini, Ksatria Airlangga akan mengunjungi pulau-pulau di Sumenep, Madura, yakni Pulau Gili Raja, Gili Genting, Gili Iyang, Sapudi, Raas, Sapeken, Sepanjang, Sakala, Pagerungan Besar, dan Pagerungan Kecil.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Gubernur Khofifah mengatakan, program community development Universitas Airlangga Surabaya adalah niat mulia untuk pengabdian masyarakat dari berbagai multi disiplin fakultas untuk melakukan pemerataan kesejahteraan adalah melalui peningkatan layanan, baik kesehatan, pendidikan maupun program ekonomi di daerah-daerah kepulauan.
“Untuk itu, apa yang dilakukan oleh RST Ksatria Airlangga ini menjadi misi kemanusiaan yang tentunya dapat memberikan layanan kesehatan, pendidikan serta ekonomi ke berbagai wilayah kepulauan di Madura. Tentunya kami berharap ini dapat memberikan perluasan pemerataan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat di kepulauan,” kata Gubernur Khofifah.
Gubernur mengatakan, dalam membangun pemerataan kesejahteraan di wilayah kepulauan salah satunya bisa dilakukan dengan membangun konektivitas yang baik antara pulau yang satu dengan lainnya. Dengan konektivitas yang baik tersebut, maka akan memudahkan pelayanan publik bagi masyarakat disana.
“Kami menyadari ini tidak mudah untuk bisa membangun konektivitas dengan cepat seperti yang ada di daratan. Kami mencobanya dengan membangun public transportation yang lebih memuliakan saudara kita di kepulauan Madura. Seperti dengan membangun pelabuhan Jangkar dari Situbondo ke berbagai pulau di Sumenep dengan fasilitas pelabuhan yang baik, kemudian juga ada jembatan movable bridge serta kapal ferry baru full AC,” katanya.
RST Ksatria Airlangga merupakan rumah sakit terapung yang dimiliki Universitas Airlangga (Unair) dengan misi pelayanan kesehatan dan pengabdian masyarakat di daerah-daerah terpencil kepulauan Indonesia.
Sejak berlayar pertama kali pada tahun 2017, RST Ksatria Airlangga telah berlayar ke sejumlah pulau-pulau kecil di Indonesia. Kapal ini dilengkapi dengan peralatan medis canggih yang setara rumah sakit umum.
