JAKARTA (tandaseru.id) – Menteri Dalam Negeri (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian mengatakan, pemerintah tengah memperkuat infrastruktur digital untuk menghindari penyalahgunaan dan menjaga keamanan Nomor Induk Kependudukan (NIK). Pasalnya, NIK menjadi salah satu informasi yang sangat penting. NIK ke depan menjadi dasar untuk semua program yang dibuat tidak hanya oleh pemerintah, tetapi juga pihak swasta.
“Kita tahu, dalam teknologi finansial sekarang, semua transaksi dilakukan secara online, dan mereka membutuhkan juga NIK lebih dari identitas manual,” katanya pada acara Penandatanganan Komitmen Pelaksanaan Aksi Pencegahan Korupsi Tahun 2023-2024 di Ruang Rapat Djunaedi Hadisumarto, Kantor Kementerian Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional/Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional (Kementerian PPN/Bappenas), Jakarta, Kamis (9/3/2023).
Mendagri menerangkan, pengembangan dan penguatan sistem identitas digital termasuk Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP) digital dalam rangka mendukung program pemerintah. Selain itu juga untuk mendukung program non-pemerintah atau sektor swasta dalam mempromosikan potensi ekonomi Indonesia.
Meski begitu, Mendagri menyebut salah satu masalah yang tengah dihadapi saat ini berkaitan dengan kapasitas infrastruktur. Sebagai negara terbesar keempat di dunia, Indonesia memiliki populasi yang sangat besar. Hal tersebut berimplikasi pada kebutuhan ‘big data’, ‘big storage’, dan ‘big bandwidth’ yang juga besar.
“Kemudian tentu terkait keamanan siber (cyber security), untuk mengamankan data agar tidak di-hack dan bocor oleh orang-orang yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Kita sedang melakukannya,” ujarnya.
Lebih lanjut, Mendagri meminta dukungan dari kementerian dan lembaga terkait untuk membangun infrastruktur digital. Pihaknya telah bekerja sama dengan Kementerian Keuangan untuk mengakomodasi hal tersebut.
“Untuk memperkuat infrastruktur digital kita,” tandasnya.
