JAKARTA (tandaseru) – Universitas Sriwijaya (Unsri) menjadi salah satu perguruan tinggi terbaik di Indonesia. Hal itu ditunjukan dari berbagai survei lembaga pemeringkatan universitas secara global yang diterima. Berikut ini penjelasannya.
Versi 4ICU
Dalam lembaga pemeringkatan internasional, UniRank melalui laman 4 International Colleges & Universities (4ICU) tahun 2020 merilis daftar 573 kampus terbaik di Indonesia.
Dari daftar tersebut, Unsri berhasil masuk peringkat 40 sebagai salah satu universitas terbaik dari 50 kampus di Indonesia pada tahun ini.
Adapun salah satu kriteria yang ditetapkan ialah universitas harus dilisensikan atau mendapat akreditasi dari organisasi terkait pendidikan tinggi yang sesuai.
Selain itu, ada kriteria lain yang ditentukan, yakni kampus di Indonesia tersebut harus menyediakan gelar sarjana dan pascasarjana.
Versi Webometrics
Webometrics Ranking of World Universities telah merilis hasil pemeringkatan terbaru perguruan tinggi negeri, yang dinilai berdasarkan website universitas masing-masing.
Dilansir dari situs resmi Webometrics, Universitas Sriwijaya masuk peringkat 19 sebagai perguruan tinggi terbaik di Indonesia.
Adapun empat aspek penilaian dari Webometrics sendiri, meliputi presence, impact, openness, dan excellence. Berikut ini penjelasannya!
- Presence diukur beradasarkan jumlah situs web, termasuk sub domain yang ada di suatu universitas.
- Aspek impact dinilai dari banyaknya backlink dari situs luar.
- Sementara, openness diukur dari jumlah file berbagai jenis (.pdf, .doc, .ps, .eps, .docx, .ppt, atau .pptx), yang dapat diakses dan terhubung dengan domain situs universitas.
- Excellence dinilai dari jumlah artikel publikasi ilmiiah karya civitas akademika universitas tersebut.
Adapun rincian ranking Unsri dari keempat aspek sebagai berikut:
- Aspek presence: peringkat 841
- Aspek impact: peringkat 2328
- Aspek openness: peringkat 2126

Versi Scimago
Sementara dalam kategori riset versi lembaga pemeringkatan perguruan tinggi Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2020, Unsri berhasil menduduki posisi 20.
Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) merupakan lembaga pemeringkatan akademik terkait penelitian yang menggabungkan tiga indikator, yakni kinerja penelitian, inovasi, dan dampak sosial.
Adapun ketiga penilaian tersebut diukur dari visibilitas website. Perlu diketahui, Scimago bekerja sama dengan Elsevier yang menerbitkan pemeringkatan jurnal-jurnal di dunia, yaitu Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR).
