JAKARTA (tandaseru.id) – Timnas Wanita Indonesia menyelesaikan seleksi dan pemusatan latihan (TC) di Jakarta pada Selasa (31/3). TC Timnas Wanita merupakan persiapan jangka panjang berlaga di SEA Games 2021 di Vietnam.
Namun dalam waktu dekat, mereka akan mengikuti turnamen Jenesys U-18 yang rencananya akan digelar di Jepang pada 1-8 Juni mendatang.
Satu di antara sejumlah pemain Timnas Wanita Indonesia yang ikut seleksi tersebut tercatat nama Sabreena Ashleigh Dressler. Pemain asal DKI Jakarta ini tak berhenti bersyukur karena salah satu impiannya untuk mengikuti seleksi dan pemusatan latihan (TC) timnas wanita Indonesia bisa tercapai di awal tahun 2021 ini.
Sabreena memang menjadi salah satu pemain yang dipanggil pelatih Rudy Eka Priyambada pada TC yang berlangsung dari 8-31 Maret 2021.
Dirinya menjadi salah satu pemain yang menonjol di lapangan karena parasnya yang cantik. Tak hanya cantik, pemain kelahiran 26 Desember 2001 ini juga lihai dalam memainkan si kulit bundar. Uniknya, bakat sepakbola yang dimiliki berawal dari hobi berolahraga saja.
“Dari kecil saya sudah menyukai olahraga tetapi sejujurnya saya tidak pernah main sepak bola.Saya baru mulai bermain sepakbola sejak usia 12 tahun. Saat itu di sekolah saya tidak ada tim sepak bola putri, karena tidak ada yang suka bermain bola. Saya bergabung dengan tim putra dan mulai mengikuti turnamen kecil sepakbola putri antar sekolah,” kata Sabreena seperti dikutip dari laman PSSI.
Pemain berusia 20 tahun ini memutuskan untuk mengasah kemampuannya di Pro Direct Academy pada tahun 2018. Namun sayangnya pemain berdarah campuran Jerman-Indonesia ini cedera selama delapan bulan, hingga akhirnya menetap beberapa waktu di Jerman.
Setelah sedikit pulih dari cedera, Sabreena pun kembali ke Indonesia dan tak lama setelah itu tepatnya pada 2019, Sabreena dipanggil untuk memperkuat Persija Putri pada kompetisi tertinggi sepakbola putri di Indonesia, Liga 1 Putri 2019.
“Saat saya dikontrak dengan Persija, rasanya sungguh luar biasa senang, karena bertepatan dengan sembuh dari cedera. Saat di Persija saya memang belum banyak mendapatkan kesempatan bermain karena kondisi yang belum fit seratus persen,” ujar Sabreena.
Kini Sabreena masuk dalam seleksi dan pemusatan latihan Timnas Wanita dibawah asuhan pelatih Rudy Eka Priyambada. “Senang sekali saya bisa masuk seleksi dan TC. Keinginan untuk masuk ke timnas sudah ada sejak lama, tapi saya sadar fisik dan skill saya belum cukup bagus untuk bisa diperhitungkan di timnas. Dipanggil ikut TC saja sudah sangat bersyukur,” katanya.
Anak keempat dari empat bersaudara ini mengaku materi yang diberikan selama pemusatan latihan menjadi tantangan tersendiri untuk dirinya.
“Materi yang diberikan tentu lebih susah daripada yang di klub apalagi dari segi fisik. Di sini benar-benar dilatih fisiknya. Drill-drill yang diberikan juga intens dan menantang. Namun yang terpenting adalah pembentukan mental. Mental kita benar-benar ditempa disini. Di sini kami dituntut untuk selalu fokus, baik saat latihan atau pertandingan, karena kita bermain untuk negara,” tambah Sabreena
“Tidak ada kesulitan beradaptasi sama teman-teman karena saya orangnya mudah bersosialisasi dengan orang lain dan saya tahu berbicara bahasa Indonesia dengan lancar juga, jadi tidak ada kesulitan untuk bergabung dengan yang lain selama TC ini” tutupnya.
