Aeromodelling merupakan hobi yang menarik. Hobi menerbangkan pesawat model yang awalnya terbilang mahal ini berubah sejak kemunculan pesawat elektrik yang berasal dari produsen China. Pesawat yang tadinya mahal menjadi mudah didapat dengan harga yang relatif murah. Selain model pesawat terbang dan helikopter, saat ini berbagai jenis drone bisa menjadi pilihan.
Terlepas menjamurnya pesawat elektrik yang dijual, jangan lupa, seorang aeromodeller atau penerbang pesawat aeromodelling disyaratkan memiliki kemampuan dan menguasai dasar ilmu penerbangan seperti aerodinamika, ilmu gaya, fisika dan lain sebagainya. Untuk itu, salah satu caranya adalah dengan belajar membuat dan menerbangkan chuck glider atau pesawat lempar.
